Beam & Clay

This innovative conversion transforms a repossessed ex-office into a premium three-bedroom shared residence, redefining expectations for communal living. A strategic 90-degree kitchen rotation preserves existing services while creating a social hub, complemented by intelligent half-height partitions that maintain spatial flow. Three thoughtfully proportioned bedrooms (9-14.1m²) each feature integrated workspaces, demonstrating how compact living can marry functionality with style. Original industrial elements—exposed beams and black framed windows—anchor the design, their raw textures contrasting with contemporary interventions. The result sets a new benchmark for shared accommodation. The scheme proves that shared residences can achieve the same design integrity traditionally reserved for single-family homes.

"Why postpone beautiful living? Shared spaces can—and should—be as thoughtfully designed as family homes. Good design isn’t a privilege reserved for life milestones."
